LOCATION.

DARTMOUTH

Nature surrounds the hotel as does a designated South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Kingswear sits on the opposite side of the water. There’s plenty of outdoors space to personalise and it’s possible to explore by boat straight from the hotel. (The famous 14th century castle is a must see). Dartmouth itself breathes history and boasts a rich maritime heritage courtesy of internationally renowned Britannia Royal Naval College. The town centre has a quiet cool - a timeless and special space with gorgeous cobbled streets and quirky buildings where boutiques, galleries and independents thrive. It also boasts a variety of restaurants and a number of centuries-old, atmospheric pubs with a choice of local ales on tap.

Counteract any over-indulgence the Devon way. Explore surrounding villages, choose a coastal walk, try a surf lesson, experience the Dartmouth Steam Railway. Golfers can work on their handicap nearby, family-friendly Bantham beach and iconic Burgh island are one way, sheltered Blackpool Sands with its superb organic café sits ten minutes drive the other. Do as much or as little as you like. The whole area is an adventurer’s paradise – we’ll happily point you in the right direction.
